Hartlepool United Charter Flight for Supporters

Hartlepool United have arranged a charter flight for supporters, for the National League
play-off final against Torquay United at Bristol City's Ashton Gate Stadium.

To be played Sunday 20th June 2021 - with a 2pm kick off.

Many Hartlepool supporters have questioned the choice of Bristol City 27,000 all seater
stadium, as the venue of the seasons play-off final given its geographical location.

Tickets for the game are priced at £41 plus £1.25p booking fee, with Hartlepool
supporters allowed a ticket allocation of 3,100 with the supporters making a near
600 mile round trip from Hartlepool to Bristol, in contrast Torquay supporters have a
    200 mile round trip.

Supporters wishing to travel on the charter flight, from Teeside International airport
to Bristol airport will have to pay £335 each person, with a additional charge for
    coach transfer to Ashton Gate.
The chartered flight subject to 72 available seats being filled, will take 1 hour -15 mins,
flying at 10.30am return flight time 6pm.

In contrast to this, the coach price Hartlepool to Bristol Ashton Gate round trip is £50
each person, leaving Hartlepool 6am & arriving Ashton Gate at 1pm.

    Torquay to Bristol 95 miles
    Hartlepool to Bristol 294 miles

Looking at a fair venue for the supporters, Birmingham's St Andrews ground seemed
    a better option.
Torquay to Birmingham 189 miles - Journey time 3 hours
Hartlepool to Birmingham 185 miles - Journey time 3 hours

Surely the stadium for the final had been pre selected weeks or months below before the finalists were known ?

Groundsmen are busy preparing the playing surfaces for next season
eg I very much doubt the pitch at NYS would be ready to stage a fixture as of yet

Jeff Stelling & Sky could pay for the flight, & put it down has expenses.
