If we have the big man threat, a pacey player off of them AND a solid enough passing game to break the lines then that will be super dangerous for teams. They won't know whether to press, let us have it, or what. Lets add more strings to our bow.
If the player can't pass in this league what makes you think they can pass in L1............a pass is a pass, doesn't matter what league we're in.....

Nah it’s harder when you’ve been under more pressure during the game as you’re less used to attacking, and despite the physical reputation of League One, Championship players are fitter and better defensively at reducing options to pass to. Doing something in training and on the pitch under pressure is totally different.

The same reason why someone who plays cricket finds it harder to hit a 6 off of better bowlers?
The same reason a badminton player finds it harder to win a point against a better player?
The same reason a basketball player finds it harder to score 1v1 against a higher quality defender?
The same reason that football is fundamentally harder the higher up the leagues you go?

    I could go on....

Your argument is basically saying that a sunday league footballer should be able to play and pass like a premier league player because it is the same. Completely ignoring the context of being up against fitter, stronger, wiser, smarter, more technical players.

Yes we should do better with passing, as I've said many times but the reason why we should find it easier is pretty obvious.

how many passes have we seen go astray when our players are under no pressure and in plenty of space.

Are you honestly trying to suggest passing and keeping the ball is the same difficulty in both the Championship and League 1?

When we have no pressure we very rarely have passes go astray. Short passes that is. Longer ones attempted we of course have more that don't find their target. Our problem in the main wasn't misplaced passes, it was the fact that we didn't try them enough. We resorted to long ball tactics because we didn't have the confidence / belief / ability to play the passing game on enough occasions.

Completely irrelevant to the passing debate. Open goals should be scored whether you are non league or champions league. Would never defend those misses.

. Time and time again we have passed the ball into touch not found a player when under no pressure. I’m talking bout ten twenty yard passes. Basic skills .
