you’re talking bout passing and keeping the ball . I’m talking about being able to pass a ball ten yard when under no pressure, which we haven’t done .what you’re talking bout is something completely different.

Millerstime you’ve said when we are under no pressure we rarely give the ball away. Have you been watching the same Rotherham I’ve watched.

I agree with miller time. When we're not under pressure we don't give the ball away (much). And most games I'm guessing we created more chances than opposition teams. What we did lack was the extra few % of quality other teams had.

I'm talking about the fact that League 1 should be an easier league to pass and keep the ball in due to the obvious drop in quality with regards to the opposition. That's what I was saying in the post that you replied to with the whole passing ten yards stuff.

I don't think we have given the ball away when under no pressure that much. That wasn't the issue for me with our passing. Our issue was not having the conviction to pass the ball enough in the first place to get in increased scenarios to pass it under less pressure. Too many times we could of played it to another CB or the keeper for example and then spread wide with the 3 CBs, outnumbering the attackers closing down the ball, then playing simple balls out, that would open the play up and we go from there. Instead of that we basically took the easy option and just tried to hit the big man up top. This is generally where we shanked balls all over the place.

Our issue wasn't the quality of our short passing, it was that we didn't do it enough. We opted for the safe, yet highly unlikely to succeed, approach.

We didn't when it came to short passes. Long balls yes.

I think you've been watching a different game to me. Our lack of pass, move, receive and pass as been obvious, we just can't keep possession, we just hoof it up front and hope it sticks there. Our 3 CB's hoof it away anywhere. How many times do you see them just head it aimlessly back over halfway instead of chesting down??? Poor to watch.......

Blatantly obvious pal, like i've said before I wouldn't miss Iky if he was sold, Woody into his last season so a new back line due soon.
Yes, total hoof ball but you've got to admire Woody for his saunters up front playing a left winger....class . He must look down the pitch though and think, 'F.uck now I've gotta get back there''....
