I think a lot of people are forgetting him strolling through the game v Celtic at Parkhead. Yeah he made mistakes yesterday, but so did everyone in that team, but he is 16 years old and was dealing with a family bereavement during the week.

Yea we were just below our usual level, keeping error from Benji, awful marking for the fourth, very nice finish for their third but not one he'd manage regular, a few individuals not at the races like Fuchs, McMann and Mulgrew (probably injury related)

Yet we still managed to make a game of it and if your look at kickback, they are raving about the match quality and that they were the best they've been for years (they are going as far back as when Burley was their manager with regards their own level) and that Utd were impressive and unlike others tried to win the game from the start, that's despite us being well off it from what we know we can play like and defend like,

Celtic fans say the same, we are the only side that's gone there and not just sat in, we've taken the game to them away from home, it's good signs so early in to TCs reign and what we used to do under Levein and Houston

Agree. While we’ve dropped a few points recently, I don’t think we’ve played bad, just not got the breaks. Yes, a few mistakes yesterday, but we were never going to go through the season and not drop points. We just take it on the chin, move on, and continue what we’ve been doing. Been years since I looked so forward to watching us play, and long may that continue.

    Another future legend is in

Dundee United can announce that Ghana U20 African Cup of Nations winner Mathew Cudjoe has agreed terms with the Club and will join subject to international clearance.

The 18-year-old forward thinking midfielder joins the Terrors from Ghanaian side Young Apostles having previously trained with Bayern Munich amid interest from a host of European clubs.

In March 2021, he helped his country lift the U20 African Cup of Nations – playing in all six games throughout the tournament, including the final - in which the Black Stars defeated Uganda U20 2-0.

Sporting Director Tony Asghar said “We are delighted to welcome Mathew to Dundee United, he is a young and exciting talent that we can’t wait to watch develop further over the coming seasons.

“As a club we are continuously aiming to attract talented players – both in our local area, in markets we are well established in and in those that have been less explored.

“We have proven we are a Club that knows how to develop and give opportunities to young players. Mathew is a player we can have high hopes for and we believe we can give him the platform to hone his talent and hopefully have a very strong career.

“Through opportunities created by the rules surrounding Brexit – we have looked at different markets we can look to gain a foothold. It has been a great experience working with the leaders at Young Apostles FC to conclude this deal.

“We are always looking at how we can improve and develop and this opportunity has come at the right time for us to explore. Our aim is now to support Mathew and ensure he adapts to the Club and understands how we can best support him on his journey.”

Mathew will join the Club upon approval of his Visa application and DUTV will have an exclusive first interview with our new man. To join DUTV follow this link

From what I understand, this laddie is the real deal. The way TC has no hesitancy in giving young players a chance, wouldn’t be at all surprised to see him make his first team debut this season at some point.

Had a gander at him on youtube. Looks like he can play. Bag of tricks, pace and looks to have been quite the hero with the fans. He's a francophone so Jeando will have someone to talk to in his native tongue as well.

Hopefully he's not expecting this kind of reception from the Arabs. :-)

5'2" in old money. Maybe still time to add a bit but anyone know the smallest players to have success in the modern era SPL?
