    140k population 5% would be 7k

The above is the link showing the result of the petition less than 5k had signed it. no idea about the residence criteria that you asked about Deeranged but The sum of £400 k being saved was given as the reason for making the change. Opposition councillors wanted more details about how the figure was calculated as it would seem obvious that closing Camperdown Golf course would not generate that level of savings.

I think Camperdown House is a difficult and expensive property to maintain and using part of it for the golf course would be a substantial cost for a facility that was little used.

    As far as possible.
It is not my fault that the politicians and health experts throughout the U.K. panicked and tried to shut down nearly everything.
They even banned people from playing golf despite it being one of the few sports that people can play on their own if need be

Because they wanted us to believe there were clouds of Covid waiting on every corner, and putting green, to jump on and kill anyone stupid enough to venture outside.

You do understand the meaning of both artisan and sport don't you?

Can a sport be artisan? Not sure. Can golf be considered either a sport or artisan? Neither.

Better description for golf would be 'pointless game'. Like tiddlywinks in many ways, or maybe twister.
