I would be interested to know what is the Scottish Government’s lowest level for the Covid-19 rules.
No chance of me obtaining this information from Joe Fitzpatrick the former Scottish Government Sports Minister. He stopped his previous conversation with me when I asked him a question which he could not reply with a ‘stock’ answer.
I can almost guarntee levels will rise again (very nationalist) before there are no levels.

I am happy to wait and see! Extending the powers is a part of the game. They know they are losing the argument but are not prepared to change policy yet. If they don't appear to need the powers they don't have a plan. Patience Rross.

Hi Rross. I am indeed curbing my enthusiasm. Anecdotal stories from people I have met have said that the vaccines do not guarantee to keep covid out. People now reporting that they have caught the virus and are having to isolate for 10 days. This looks as though the vaccine has reduced the severity of the covid virus when you have been vaccinated.

How can the politicians and medics possibly argue that freedom from covid is attainable? All we can expect is that this virus will be no more lethal than flu. If the law instructed everyone to stay at home for 10 days every time they caught flu or covid, would that be a price worth paying to allow all areas of our economy and society to return to pre-covid rules?

    Freedom restored.....nothing less.

Flu is completely different from common cold.

People with flu are on their backs....shouldn't need to be told to isolate.

Freedom from covid isn't obtainable....they know this but refuse to release authoratarian grip.

It has been reported today (Friday) that the Scottish Government Test and Trace scheme is not working because health boards cannot cope with the surge in positive cases. NHS Grampian have admitted that they do not have enough staff to contact everyone who has tested positive in their health board area due to a surge in the number of positive cases.
In my opinion the Test and Trace scheme should have been done centrally rather than depending on individual health boards to do it themselves.
Staff at NHS Orkney, NHS Shetland and NHS Western Isles have not exactly been rushed off their feet dealing with Test and Protect in their own health board area.
