    Down to hard cash.
Hopefully that applies to the DABs cos they sure as hell ain't viable at the moment. They've dodged the bullet at times in the past due to their 'sugar daddy' having deeper pockets than ours. Lets hope they go out of business or at least into administration as they could well have been in the past.

My phone from dark ages (pre covid about 2011) some folk saying they can't get me......you another?.....mainly text....don't seem to have any bother on what's app....no that I know of.

I should get another but I hate dealing with technical folk.......they always remind me of old chewing the fat scratch with the boys working in Currys.

The new modern plug in phones are no use in a power cut.
Last Friday (14th June 2021) we had a power cut on Islay which affected the whole of the island and was caused by pole supporting the main network collapsing. Thank goodness we had an old fashioned phone to allow me to report the fault which was repaired in 30 minutes. One of the joys of living life on the edge of Scotland.

Most people now have power banks all charged up and ready to use for just such situations.
