Coronavirus Level 0 in Scotland

According to the Scottish Government website the maximum number of spectators that can attend an event in a seated stadium under Level 0 coronavirus rules are 2,000. https://www.gov.scot/publications/co...ction-level-0/
Level 0 is the lowest level and Mainland Scotland is not expected to reach this level until late June 2021.
I fail to see how Dens Park and other large football stadiums throughout Scotland will be able to accommodate more than 2,000 spectators until Level 0 is scrapped and things return pre March 2020 normality.

As RRoS has banged on about for months, possibly over a year, they will try to make us believe level 0 is 'normal'. Forget going beyond that for a very, very long time.

I agree. Normality is not coming to Scotland any time soon. What worries me is that the level below zero, minus one or no level whatever it is called is only supposed to come in when Covid has been eradicated and basically that means no cases. Most scientists, however, reckon that it will remain endemic (albeit at low levels) meaning as RRoS has predicted restrictions are here for beyond the foreseeable future. Scary!!

The pressure will come for bigger crowds when English stadiums are rocking again.

England announced mask free from June

Last August (2020) my GP on Islay told me that wearing a mask would not halt the spread of the
Covid-19 virus and that is why people should also wash their hands.
Now there is a problem with people suffering from dry skin on their hands as a result of washing their hands a lot more than normal resulting in them having to use emulsifiers to try to put moisture back into the skin of their hands.

I can see peer pressure taking over and demanding that all fans are allowed back into football grounds as soon as possible especially with the furlough scheme ending this summer.
I have just sent a message to Joe Fitzpatrick the Dundee West SNP MSP and former Sports Minister until December 2020 asking him when the Scottish Government is going to announce that the restrictions on the number of spectators entering football stadiums throughout Scotland will end permanently.
It will be interesting to see if I get a reply.
I suggest that all football fans throughout Scotland bombard their own MSP asking when the restrictions on the number of
football fans entering all seated stadiums in is going to ended permanently.

Covid like the Common Cold virus will never be eradicated and everyone including scientists are just going to have to live with it.
The Covid-19 vaccines are not a ‘magic bullet’ as they are not 100% effective.
In my opinion viruses like the current Covid-19 virus are just Nature’s way of keeping the population numbers in check.

At 11.20am today I sent Joe Fitzpatrick the Dundee West SNP MSP a message through his Facebook site asking when the Scottish Government were going to announce when the restrictions on the number of spectators attending football matches at all seats stadiums throughout Scotland is to end.
I received an immediate reply from Joe Fitzpatrick giving the stock answer about 500 spectators being permitted to attend from Monday 17th May and 12,000 spectators at Hampden for the Euros. He swerved answering my question.
Hiwever I was not going to let him off that easily so I replied asking when more than a maximum of 2,000 spectators are going to be allowed to attend home games at Dens Park when the City of Dundee enters Tier 0 at the end of June 2021. I further added that football fans throughout Scotland need to know when the restrictions on the number of spectators attending football matches in their home stadium are going to be permanently ended.
i received another prompt reply stating guidance is always under review and is updated every three weeks. Joe hopes that a larger number of fans will be able to attend home games at Dens Park by the start of next season but it is not possible to predict what will happen in a few months time as decisions will be driven by data and clinical advice.
I then replied at 12.10pm ‘I trust the Scottish Government and health ‘experts’ realise that professional football clubs throughout Scotland will very shortly be selling season tickets for the 2021-22 season not knowing how many spectators will be permitted to attend home games at their football stadium next season’.
The directors of these clubs might be forced to sell two types of season tickets for next season because only a maximum 2,000 spectators can attend a game.
One for up to the maximum number of 2,000 spectators and a second one for football fans who can only see their football team live on their computer. I further added that updating every three weeks is no use to the loyal football supporter who purchase a season ticket every season and now does not know if they will be one of fortunate 2,000 supporters able to purchase a season ticket for the 2021-22 season. To highlight the point I said that Rangers and Celtic had tens of thousands of season ticket holders who would not be happy to being restricted to a maximum number of 2,000 spectators at the stadium.
I kept the best to last. In my final paragraph I said ‘ The number of spectators attending football matches in an all seated stadium throughout Scotland when Mainland Scotland was in Tier 0 should have been decided months ago.
Sadly I have not received a reply from Joe Fitzpatrick to my final message which I sent at 12.10pm.
