Best and worse old players we have signed.

The best in my opinion ,has to be Johny Giles who even did the manager's job as well.
The worse too many to choose from, this season Ovanivic must be up there.
Let's hope we don't sign any more this summer.

Best was Giles and the returning Bob Taylor.

Worst were Geoff Hurst and Mick Phelan and Andy Townsend.

I would say that the two worst were Ivanowic and Lambert. The best, probably Giles and the returning Taylor and Gera.

Here’s another one for you, John Hartson, hopelessly unfit and overweight when he came to us, I think that I was far fitter than he was! I was on a stadium tour when we had John Hartson, Tony Brown was taking the tour and remarked that even at his age, he reckoned that he could easily out perform Hartson at the old training routine of running up the steps to the top of the stand! John Hartson suffered a severe illness, a brain tumour, I believe, but made a recovery and I think that he is working as a pundit. I hope that he remains healthy.

In recent history, last 20 years and taking into account their transfer fees.

Best, I'd say McCauley. Also I think Brunt deserves a mention here for longevity and number of assists.

Worst has to be Oli Burke,

Not because he is the worst player we have ever signed, but because of the amount we signed him for. I could tell pretty early on he was technically not good enough. And £15m is a lot for us.

Going back a bit What about David Mills £1/2 Million !! Remember him taking a corner at Anfield and knocking it straight into the crowd behind the goal
