    Square pegs in round holes

Thanks to my exchange of messages today with Joe Fitzpatrick the SNP MSP for the Dundee West constituency I carried out some research about him.
Joe Fitzpatrick is a Dundonian and former pupil of Whitfield High School. After leaving school he studied Forestry at Inverness College and he was employed by the Forestry Commission before winning the Dundee West seat in the Scottish Government elections in May 2007.
Joe Fitzpatrick in addition to being the Scottish Government Sports minister was also the minister for Public Health until he was sacked in December 2020 after the highest ever number of drug deaths in a year in Scotland. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotla...itics-55368574
You would think that Joe Fitzpatrick would be more suited to a Scottish Government post in charge of the Environment thanks to his background in forestry especially as trees help absorb CO2 emissions which are a ‘hot topic’ at the moment.
However that does not appear to be the case at the SNP controlled Scottish Government
