Thought Burnley played some real nice football in the first half hour or so. Certainly didn't see the final scoreline coming at that stage. Think it was more us stepping up a notch that limited what Burnley did thereafter.

Can you clarify old man why the commentator described Burnley as Dad's Army lol Did you make a comeback?

I don’t quite get Burnley. You do have some decent individual players, but the whole often seems less than the sum of the parts.
Was thinking a long the same lines, when they keep the ball down and pass it around, they look very good.

Wonder if it's a lack of a creative 10 that means they tend to look to send in them long passes to the box so frequently instead?

Another great performance where we were in full control about from 2 shorts spells at the beginning of each half when Burnley played well.

The defence were, once again, epic and Meslier made a couple of good stops. Phillips was at his best and some of his long range passing was incredible. Klich carried on from last week and is moving back towards his previous high level of performance but faded 2nd half. Llorente looks unflappable but, after a great game last week, Alioski reverted from 'Good Ezgjan' to 'Bonkers Ezgjan' - how did his shot from about 14 yards go for a throw in (and it wasn't even a throw in that was close to the corner flag); his making faces at McNeill was quite funny. Best aspect for me was a glimpse of what Rodrigo can do and an indication that he might actually be worth the money we paid after all.

Think that's just the nature of the beast, Pete. When a team doesn't perform well, everybody likes to put their Manager's hat on with their opinions on how to fix it! 😀All comes from being disappointed in losing though. Nothing more I reckon...☺

Disappointed is a polite way of putting it.
There are several other words which can add to the posting contribution.
