Not necessarily. Cheltenham won L2 with a top scorer on 13. You can just as easily do well spreading the goals around the team as having a 30 goal striker. Our strikers missed chances, but also our midfield didn't contribute enough goals. Take Crooks out, who was playing as a striker half the time, and how many did our midfield score? We didn't get enough players forward, linking up with the forwards in and around the box, late runners etc. Too busy sitting too deep, being too cautious and scared of the breakaway instead of joining the attack.

Wolves have survived comfortably in the Premiership and their top scorer has just 5 goals.
