    Yes mate that was the season - Willie Watters (later to play for Queens) scored 5 for Killie. I was in the Spread Eagle which was full of Killie fans who had (like myself) left the game as they thought they had been saved from relegation but then the score came on the television that Clyde had been saved by scoring a 89th minute penalty - a classic turnaround.

    That was the same season. I remember being at that game. Think it was Ken Eadie that scored Clyde's late penalty. Ray Montgomerie was interviewed on a Killie video and remembers seeing all the Killie disgarded scarves on the road on the way back up to Ayrshire.
