Not sure how many of you can drag yourself from the footy, but this years' Tour De France is gripping viewing, and with far better commentary and insight than available on the Euros IMO

Dutch TdF coverage is always very good and I very much enjoy it.

    Deol or no Deol?

What an absolutely incredible catch she made. Skill, agility and extremely quick thinking all wrapped into one wonderful piece of sporting brilliance.

Went to the '81 Open at Sandwich as a guest of the EGU!
Had the great pleasure of meeting Jack Nicklaus, seats for me and the missus behind the 18th green.
Not my favourite Open venue but had a great week even though the weather was iffy - cool and dull all week.
    Enjoy Parky!

Splendid day at golf thanks Mac, hot with a bit of breeze, and saw Morikawa make his move that eventually proved to be central to winning. Went with a mate who has played the course often so he was guide, as long as you didn't mind listening to how he parred such and such hole..... Pints of Shepherd Neame and fillet of beef for lunch made for a welcome interva!

Sounds a great day out, especially the beef washed down with one of my favourite brews!
Morikawa looks a class act, Spieth pushed him hard at the end but he never faulted. More Majors await!
