Highlight was the crowd chanting for Bamford

I noticed that too as did the commentators

We have more than enough depth to have a decent squad capable of giving it a go but Southgate doesn’t seem to take risks.

Would prefer we either parked the bus properly or better still just played fast attacking 100 miles an hour football like my favourite prem team

And that's why Bamford isn't there. He wants to 100mph play, would not get the service he requires, and would shame all the rest with his work rate. Southgate knows all that.

At least Bamford can’t get injured on international duty I guess

Bamfords got the summer with his lady - and looking at the pics, plenty of time for a muscle or two, to get tweaked.

If Southgate is not careful you might actually go somewhere this year.

Time for him to bring out the washed up, has been "stars" that England was always so famous for. if only John Terry, Tubby and Rooney were still playing.

Think Kane might do his best earn the badge from those type players

Is Sancho a winger? If not, Southgate has not selected a bona fide wide forward. The two who started yesterday, Foden and Sterling are not real wingers. Okay, Sterling was one but really hasn't played like a real winger for several seasons now e.g like Jack Harrison, Raphinha, Costa, Poveda type who runs and crosses and sometimes cuts in. I guess I shouldn't be surprised as the top teams Liverpool, Sh1tty, chelsea don't play with bona fide wingers.
