    According to the Scottish Sun

    "United's search continues"

"Tam Courts remains favourite for the managers seat at Tannadice but a new candidate emerged this morning. According to sources close to the club Tini Tikara will be be interviewed later today.
Tikara has been managing in the Asian League West and has taken his side from 19th in the Sixth Tier of the National Schools league to winning the title in just 2 years.
17 year old Tikara said "I'm honoured to be linked with Dundee United and I have told the club I will do anything Mr Tony says"

The Sun contacted the Club and were told
"At Dundee United we value youth and although Tini is only 17 he has a wealth of experience. He deserves consideration"

    More to follow.

I’m a no Because i dont think It is right at this point in time, im not against promoting from Within per se however. There Are going to be some talented guys out there with low level football backgrounds. Let’s find a top/established manager Like an Alec Neil who can promote youth and build a squad meantime.

A lot of wild speculation out there just now so some transparency would help settle things Down.

My point is, the Ogrens bought into the club with a business plan of investing in the academy to develop young players. We bought into that at the time. So its only logical that they develop a business plan and strategy to achieve that. I’m not suggesting I wouldn’t have my own concerns about experience etc. but if they went ahead, I’d support it, and at least give it a proper chance to be successful. It seems some want to bring out the lynch mob, just on the appointment. We can’t have our cake and eat it. Otherwise, would you prefer them to sell up and hand it back to Stephen Thomson? No? Didn’t think so.
