Over the last decade Brentford's owner has "invested" over £100 million into the club.
Moneyball my arse.
Comparisons with our club are meaningless, unless we find some sucker with deep pockets.

Aye, Peter Murphy’s goal can be seen as the start of our somnambulant decade. One Club picked up a man of vision (yeah, with deep pockets) along the way. We got stuck with three blinkered businessmen with a cant-do attitude, and none with the will to effect positive change. Instead of stepping aside they side-step criticism and cling on like limpets, cementing mediocrity to the Club. Thanks a bunch.
Money talks
But it don't sing and dance and it don't walk
And long as I can have you here with me
I'd much rather be forever in blue shirt

Yes but they have the Danish Champions that they can use as a feeder club - our lot couldn't even afford to run Carlisle City alongside United.
Unfortunately the club's progress is inhibited until the Holdings board collapses. We know what will trigger that but not when. It will be entirely up to PD to decide who the next owner of 1921 will be. He / Purepay effectively owns it but he is merely acting as a benign creditor who is distanced from everything to do with 1921. When the time comes PD / Purepay will arrange the new ownership which will not be PD / Purepay. I believe that PD will want some of the £2.25 million back and he may slightly financially punish The Three before the Holdings board collapses. The new owner will have the Purepay debt annulled just prior to taking over. It will certainly not be annulled whilst the current Holdings board is in place.
