    Boxing Day Away Shirts

I think it would be good if the club can highlight the issue of homelessness. We are at home to Everton on that day. I would be prepared to donate if something suitable can be arranged.

I'm not often with you BT, but I am on this one.

I watched TV this morning as I did the ironing, I saw lots of donation adds for Donkeys (for which you get a framed photo of your Donkey FFS), Cats and Dogs mistreated, Children in Africa with sight problems, Children also in Africa having to drink putrid water.

I know all of the above is mostly abroad but we must be the biggest gullible folk in the world as all this is aimed at us, I turns me off the celebrities who front these adds, Martin Clunes did the Donkey one which really shocked me.

Meanwhile our Government love all this donate to things in this Country as that means they can do what they are good at ABSOLUTELY PHUCK ALL

thats good of you Outwood. The thing is there are that many charities nowadays it's becoming a joke. Personally I put all my charity work into guide dogs UK,by looking after guide dogs ,donating to them and arranging collections in supermarkets etc.. I'm afraid I can't afford to put money into other charities any more so just work for guide dogs ..

My wife and I sponsor guide dogs as Mrs Outwood is partially sighted. I would definitely consider an initiative on homelessness in Burnley if it came from Burnley FC and their work in the community.

Norder. I think the great majority of us on here do not accept footballers setting themselves up as our moral compass. Even some footballers themselves are refusing to bend the knee to the excruciating pressure exerted on them by the media.

but they (clubs/players) are happy to promote Gambling.....?

Research has shown that gambling disorder prevalence is higher in homeless populations than country equivalent national prevalence rates. Gambling is often a factor that contributes to an individual becoming homeless, but is also an important factor in the maintenance of the cycle of homelessness.

Why don’t they just sell raffle tickets in lead up to the game £1 a ticket to win the shirts of the players signed etc , that way they don’t have to change to away kit but make a comfortable £25 k for homeless plus what the club contributes , that should help through the tougher months for those on the streets.
I’ve met some great people on the streets some ex service men ( which I can’t understand - our country at all for ). And always try to give a few quid or a sleeping bag / coat etc
This is a good awareness campaign and deserves some spotlight - instead of the rubbish we’re exposed to every week.

What is the government used for ?

''Governments provide the parameters for everyday behavior for citizens, protect them from outside interference, and often provide for their well-being and happiness.''

If a Government can not do this task ,they should not be in Government!!

A Government lead by spiritual moralist under the Social Economic Theory PROUT, (Progressive Utilisation theory )
All people should enjoy the fundamental right to the goods and services required to maintain their existence and to support their development and expression. This Global PROUT Policy Parliament statement asserts that the right to both minimum requirements of life and to common amenities of life must be 'guaranteed '. It additionally proposes a set of PROUT inspired policies intended to establish this right in practice.
