Surprised the Gov is going so openly out on a limb on this issue ...... they obviously sense the nation’s mood and an opportunity to curry favour with the electorate ....

Seems like there is now a second England cricketer who made a racist or ***ist tweet when he was 16 ..... no identity given yet. This has opened a can of worms ..... now every troublemaker is going to be scouring the internet for past wrong doings with a view to stirring it up .... wouldn’t be surprised if a few footballers at the Euros start coming under the microscope ....

Where is this going to end? They are now investigating another player who cannot be named because these comments were made when the individual was under six****. Under six**** for goodness sake, a mere child. Does this mean that the whole of the rest of his life is going to be defined by a comment made at such a young age. As I say, where is this going to end? You can commit murder and be integrated back into society after serving your sentence but make a racist or ***ist comment and that's that individual condemned for life. I was under the impression that we lived in a country of Christian principals, forgiveness being one of them. Obviously, not in the eyes of some.

As for what an FA official has said, that booing 'taking the knee' is a racist act, I'm afraid that they are wrong. As far as I'm concerned it's the disapproval of a political movement which in a democratic country, people have the right to do.

Just imagine what will come out if they start to trawl through footballers tweets. Wonder what effect that will have on team unity over BLM?

Just returning to the match itself, surely most of us would have preferred to see an attempt to win ? If we failed and lost, I would have admired their attempt and not be devastated over the loss.
How are the two NZ Test matches referred to as a ‘Series’ ?
I noted a pundit commenting that ‘as it is a 2 Match Series’ we did not want to go one down and therefore to secure the draw was paramount. Give me strength, I don’t believe it !

I thought this too, surely a better advert for the game if there is a result. I would have preferred us to have had a go. And I think if the boot had been on the other foot, NZ would have gone for it.

That batting line-up wouldn't have got anywhere near the total required no matter how they had approached it. End of!
