    No need to apologize, it’s great to see the fans and players united in pride. At Newcastle this is all that is needed for success on the pitch.

    As a Newcastle and Scotland supporter it’s been a long while that I’ve felt that with the former and the latter leaves you with an overall sensation of abject disappointment over the years 😆.

    Having said that, at least ‘hope’ remains in supporting Scotland....

    I've said it on here before,in the 1960s the England team was hardly supported in the North East like it was down South.

    I watched England win the World Cup in 66 but when I went out at night there was no big celebrations in the bars or clubs that I remember.During the game that afternoon my dad come in from the pub and said oh good football,whose playing.

    I will probably watch the England games but with no great enthusiasm.
