Commentatot said 'under normal circumstance's he'd have saved that'.

Not sure it's fair-or right-to blame that on Schmeichel's mental state-the header was at close range and travelling...should he have kept it out? ...possibly but he didn't have time to react, really.

Huge credit to both sets of players but especially the Danes for carrying on.

The result won't really matter to them, I suspect.

    Pleased for you, Liikape, man.

Hughie, it was horrendous for us neutrals so it would have been doubly horrific for you so I hope you've been able to enjoy a stiff drink.

Main thing is the prompt action of those involved looks to have saved his life. You really just don't know what's round the corner, do you.

Surprises me each time this happens. You’d think clubs would have 100% details on the health of these top players.
But I’m no doctor so maybe some heart problems are impossible to predict?

Well done Finland - a cracking result.

    Me too Cannylad.
It was only discovered when I had a medical for a new job.
The doc said the ECG machine was bust, so fetched a new one. Same results.
It was me that was bust!

I had never had a black out, just a couple of dizzy spells. The specialist said I was really fit and my heart was very strong. ! was running marathons and training 80-90 miles a week in those days - so he reckoned that helped.
I have since had a couple of cardioversions and now take blood thinners every day.

My mate however had a similar experience to you. He sat down for a cup of coffee and woke up in the RVI.
He had absolutely no recollection of what happened in between.

    Stay healthy!

Yes, my problem is basically electrical the heart muscle is fine. I'm due to go in for a third heart ablation but this covid has slowed down the system. I can't tolerate blood thinners so they performed a "Watchman Device" procedure to stop or limit any blood clots in the heart and implanted a pacemaker which also monitors my heart and sends information directly to the hospital if there are any abnormalities. The vast majority of the time I feel fine and don't even think about it.
