It’s on it way, look at the houses flying flags or the clowns on the flyovers, give it another one or two No votes and they’ll have to try another tactic, might not be in our life time but I see it coming

Need to rely on politicians telling the truth and acting in the best interests of the country. If SNP want to win a democratic vote for independence they need to answer currency and border questions IMO at the very least.
In my opinion if they could solve these issues it would give some credibility to their case and instead of name calling all who oppose their ideas, they might actually get somewhere.
I think Sturgeon knows that there is not a majority in Scotland who want independence. I am hoping that independence will become a vote losing strategy, as happened in Quebec and Scotland focuses on One Nation Conservatism or Democratic Socialism along the Scandinavian lines. Culturally different not politically different?

It would help if they would publish a positive case for independence.

Then why do they get so many votes? I don't believe that there is a majority of Scots who want independence but I don't see how we can move away from the grievance politics that distract from what Holyrood should be delivering. Maybe Labour can claim back the votes they lost to the SNP but it seems that old style socialist policies are unpopular. Could they learn from Scandinavian style socialism?

Some people I imagine see other countries as small and smaller than Scotland do OK.
The country is divided and I agree until we get some decent alternatives to what is out there at the moment it will remain so.
I can see both arguments quite clearly, brexit I thought cud have cost me my job of 18 years but thankfully didn't. I know some family and friends fear for theirs if independence happens I get that.
Shame their is a divide but we desperately need a strong party to be.
1.more in touch with the people and 2.an alternative to the snp.

Because they are a cult programmed to believe any old shyte.

They hate the English, and that’s the top and bottom of it. If they come out and admitted it I’d have a bit of respect for them.

Levers, natural resources, getting a pittance back, ruled by the English, getting a government we didn’t vote for, corruption, flags and Norway. Separatist buzz words and a great bingo card.

They get so many votes at present because the SNP and Green MSPs dare not tell their supporters all the pitfalls of Scotland becoming an independent country.
The SNP and Green MSPs love to moan about the Westminster Government but they cannot tell us what they would do differently as the truth would cost them a lot of votes.
