We import pikeys to the Appleby Horse Fair, then they go back to wherever they came from. I’ve followed a lot of them heading south in previous years. Slowly.

I’m learning to appreciate Cumbria more and more. We drove slowly back home via Cartmel and Grange on Saturday, places that I’d never visited before, and the scenery was stunning. No ifs and buts, Cumbria is the most beautiful county in the UK.
