To get in a manager as quickly as possible, Albion's board has decided to put names on the shortlist into a hat and get Dowling to draw one out.
Names on the list are Michael Appleton, MA, Mikey, our Mick, and Appy.
Dowling will then state that after extensive interviews and with careful consideration we have appointed the man we wanted all along.

I have a horrible feeling that we will get Alex Neil. What was that about Albion having one of the most competitive budgets in the Championship this season? Silly me for thinking that paying to get the right manager would be prudent use of available funds!

I have always thought McInnes would be a good choice given his Albion credentials - certainly the fans would warm to him. Was mentioned by a few that he’s not a great manager. Was a great captain for us in the Megson years .... now there’s a thought. McInnes with Megson as assistant ....

McInnes was a brilliant captain, however I don’t think his style of play will bring fans on board quickly which is something a new manager will have to do, the club is currently a toxic place and it won’t take much for match day supporters to turn against him. That said he would at least start with something of a clean slate and run of 1-0 wins would win the support around. Not for me tho, but preferable to Applecart.

McInnes managerial record is a darn sight better than Appleton's, but then so are most peoples.

I wonder if the club ever decide to check the mood of the fan's before making an appointment?
They'll know the mood next season when nobody turns up.
I hope the fans boycott the club and the merchandise, it's the only way to get Hong Kong phooey out.

I honestly don't think that they would do any worse than many of the names considered!

The trouble is that nobody’s reputation will be enhanced by working for the wretched Chinese.
