I thought Harper looked half decent when he broke into the 1st team 3-4 years ago ..... but then stopped developing ..... does make you wonder about our set up. We develop youngsters in the academy like Field, Leko, Harper, Thorne, Roberts, Roofe and a load of others .... then they just drop out of favour and move on .....

    We do develop players well
But we all appear to develop their ego’s much better and sooner than other clubs.
What is it? Like so many others once they get the slightest bit of recognition they then play silly games about contracts. Bilic bent backwards to ensure he stayed with us, Ferguson shafted him as well.
They like all the off field attention and Recognition.
In truth they Get all the riches before they have really earnt it on a promise that they will continue to develop ... but dont .

I cannot find the answer to the question I would like answered anywhere on the internet.

Did Ismael sanction the move or not?

Not worried either way if Harper left but would be worried if the new Manager doesn’t get the final decisions on moves in and out.

This is what he said to the Ipswich fans in the headline:
Harper: 'I'm a fearless player who wants to excite people'
Pity we never saw any of that. More Hype with no substance.

Must admit, I didn't notice much fearlessness and excitement generated. Looked the opposite to me.
