Will Barrow finish above Carlisle United in League Two season 2021/2022?

We are not an all round united force. Barrow have a very effective supporters club. The club seems to be united in all the aspects that matter. Barrow seem to have a solid base. None of the biggest / best businesses in Cumbria will provide Carlisle United with sponsorship, advertising or any other kind of support until The Three have totally gone.

We have to rely on the ordinary traditional income streams and we cannot go into any more debt. The transfer fees for McCarron / Galloway and Branthwaite are not simply sitting in the club's bank account. If they were paid on the basis of 10% up front and 24 monthly payments then those monthly payments will have each come in and immediately gone out because the club makes a yearly trading loss of almost £500,000, so at least £40,000 per month. The last McCarron / Galloway payment will be in August and the last Branthwaite payment will be in February. If those payments were made over a longer period then they will obviously have been significantly smaller each month.

What would Barrow's finishing position need to be in order to be above us?

There's also money from Hope, Henderson and Cosgrove to account for.

Early days but at this stage the bookmakers seem fairly confident Carlisle will finish above Barrow.

Best odds available for Carlisle to win the league 25/1 (BetVictor). Barrow are 50/1 with the same firm.
