Just saying animal I wonder if the owner has had a change of mind, & will pay compensation.

Looking at one report to if Valerien Ismaul took the WBA managers job.

Article names 3 managers, & Barnsley liking to employ foreign managers.

1 -- Markus Schopp - Manager Austrian side TSV Hartberg

2 -- Ole Werner - Manager German side Holstein Kiel

3 -- David Artell - Manager English side Crewe Alexandra

David Artell had a great last season at Crewe, doing a good job with the pressure of losing players
through the transfer system, which Crewe are good at bringing through.

With the West Brom owner not having any football knowledge, & prone to knee jerk reactions,
Valerien Ismaul perhaps would be better staying at Barnsley, & hopefully the board back him.

The stability at the club with the model we have is totally different to what you'll find at 90%of clubs .

The stability isn't with the personal charged with getting results .

The stability is with the model and the playing style .

We will recruit an HC with decent stats who plays high press football .

The players are already here and well drilled with this style , when we recruit we bring players who we feel can play the way we do .

Last season was a bit of a one off , I wouldn't expect Val would repeat that or even better it to be honest so if he wants to go to a club with a bigger budget then fair enough .

We spend what we have .

We will be alright next season , we probably won't reach the top six .

We won't go down either .

Competitive at championship level on budget .

It's as good as we can do .

    <> Barnsley <>

With Barnsley manager Valerien Ismael being on the radar of West Brom, the
club have two staff who have moved to another championship club.

Chief Executive Dane Murphy, & Club Secretary Taymour Roushdi have resigned
their roles at Barnsley, to join championship club Nottingham Forest.
Both men were targeted by Forest, & agreed terms.

Unfortunately Eric many of us could see this coming if we didn't get ourselves promoted to the PL last season .

Absolutely ripe for those who had an hand in getting a low budget club punching massively above its weight picked off by bigger clubs .

We haven't even got to the players yet , I suspect that it won't be too long though as clubs start preparing for the new season over the coming weeks .

Not a reight lot we can do unfortunately other than at least try and recruit well to replace them .

Anything around mid table next season would be a good outcome I feel .

With the model we have most of us are pretty immune to it these days to be honest .

Barnsley beat all expectations last season Animal, tipped to be in a relegation battle, they tipped
the scales to show they were not going to be cannon fodder.
Having a good squad with the aid of getting a good loan striker, who knew where the net was, it
showed character, against the big guns in the championship.
But will Barnsley be able to hold onto the players who stood out for them last season, plus is
there money to get players in.
Like you said a mid table position next season would be acceptable.
