It is possible that the club are offering to make up salaries to 100%. I am aware of several friends that are in this position. Club save 80% for 4 to 8 weeks with no financial loss to the individuals. Common sense approach.

Risky strategy to take advantage of furlough there has to be a genuine threat of the position becoming redundant.

Don’t know how the Millers or any other football league team can argue they are going to make the most important staff members to be a viable football league team redundant.

The cleaner yes, the office staff yes the first team squad you are having a laugh.

    Absolutely spot on.

And is if by magic, the fog clears. All becomes apparent with warned "no signings until July " statement. It looks like RUFC is just wanting tax payer help to pay June's wages. Immoral? Perhaps.

If it is true, does anyone think that no one else in L1 and L2 aren't doing the same. Last game of season in sure they were filling out the forms.

If that's the case why is it a specific story just about Rotherham?

RUFC and their players are tax payers.

It makes a change that actual tax payers are receiving help.

RUFC are hardly trading profitably. Stop buying the tickets and the merchandise if you think this is immoral.
