How ridiculous is that ,to ask our players to go on furlough. All that will do, is put doubts in to player's minds and send messages to other clubs, come and take our players. We need clarity from the club and TS needs dispel these fears that fans will have.

Clubs in for our players now think, Rotherham have no money, drop a offer down
for our players, & get them on the cheap.
The club dropped a clanger this last season not getting at least a left back in, which
cost the team a lot of points, with other clubs finding our weakness on that side of
    the field.
Where as if we had stopped in the championship, the club could have gone &
borrowed money on the strength of TV money coming in during the 2021-22
season, & hopefully not then asking the players to be on furlough.
A mistake on the coaching & boardroom side in not getting player[s] in has cost
the club a lot of money, & now it will have to cut the cloth to suit.
The club got some good money from TV coverage of matches, plus the money
    from playing in the championship.

Yes but the problem with coronavirus jokes is you have to wait two weeks to see if you got it.

So what if it is true? It’s the close season. The players and staff wont report back until 1st week July. They’ll all receive full pay and the club will recoup £100k+ through the furlough scheme.

If there’s any rumblings from players it will be their agents and the one’s who want out because of relegation.

Wait until the accounts start being filed for EFL clubs for 2020 and later. £50m grants and £200m of loans that need paying back will have been swallowed up All due to loss of revenues across the game.

The usual suspects can’t wait to have a pop at TS.
What if we found out later that he could have accessed it and didn’t and that put us at risk?

Yep he wouldn’t be applauded now would he?

On a related them, I've read on MM that RUFC didn't take up the offer of an interest free loan from the League (the one backed by the PL I think). I don't think that's true. I believe the club did take the loan. Any business in their right mind would do so. This wasn't tax payer money, it was from the football "pot". Even if you sat it in your bank account and "earned" the interest on it, you'd take it.
