Derek McInnes will be a brave man to risk his reputation amongst this shower. Whatever you think of Dowling, though, I am not surprised at his departure, to do your best for the club (even if we don’t agree with him) and be overruled by the tw@t in China would surely drive most in that position to resign.

I don't care what fans think of Dowling there is only one person to blame for this mess, LAI. As I've said before, if it wasn't for him, Wilder would now be our manager. GET HIM OUT!!

As much as everyone is in hysterics right now, either Neil or McInnes would come begging for a job like this.

With the greatest respect, if McInnes or Neil are our best options we are in a mess. Neither of them inspire me but what do I know? A hell of a lot more than the Chinaman!

The main problem is Lai ... plain and simple. Until he is goes we are completely ******. Wilder was cast out because apparently he had the temerity to challenge the foreign owners at Sheff Utd for more investment. The way things are going anyone with any nous is not going to touch us with a barge pole.

I see Lai in a different light. He bought the Club as a ‘decent Championship promotion candidate’ expecting a quickish turnaround sale and profit, being sold as a Premier League Club.
His absence of English football knowledge was evident and he was therefore totally reliant upon the executive, particularly Dowling.
The departure of the latter is a positive move and undoubtedly a major rebuild is necessary.
Lai’s expected profit is now replaced by damage mitigation in an endeavour to recoup as much of his initial investment as possible. Potential buyers are now scarce!
It is indeed a mess, but I would prefer the rebuild to be without Dowling.

Fair point Prando.. Although I thought Lai bought us in 2016 when we were a stable Prem club. Still don’t understand why he bought us .... maybe it was a fad at the time ..... Chinese buying English clubs ..... that’s clearly over now. I think the rot set in when Williams and Goodman were appointed ..... on the advice given to Lai by Peace ..... Jenkins obviously saw the writing was on the wall when he threw the towel in beginning of last season ....

Lai is probably sitting somewhere in China thinking how the hell do I get out of this mess without losing my shirt. Question is who does Lai turn to for advice ..... I hope I am wrong and Lai pulls a rabbit out of the hat on both the Manager and Tech Director. Any sensible businessman would pay to get the best advice possible .... just struggling to see it given the mess we seem to be in ....

We were an established Premier League club when Lai bought us Paul.

He bought us at the top of the market, we went a Championship club opportunity.

Why are Large companies successful like Dyson and even Virgin to a degree! There’s a connection between the owner - staff and it’s customers!

Lai has not even been near our ground in over 2 years which is a disgrace. Whilst I did not like Dowling, an owner should not undermine his own Board with a decision. Especially when the owner knows nothing of footballing matters and the appointment of Wilder was wanted by the majority of the fan base!

The club has turned into a laughing stock Prando and within the next two weeks it will become clear of Lai’s intentions. If things go any worse - the worst thing for supporters to do is buy season tickets.

I know for a fact ( connections in Bolton ) that Fat Sam would have stayed if the deal was right and he had been given a reasonable budget for player recruitment. Fat Sam did not want to leave!

Same with Wagner - yes he was playing us off with the other team but everyone does that with interviews. You go with the best offer and prospects! Why would Wagner have wasted his own time!

I honestly thing things will get worse before they get better! What’s Derek Mcinnes going to do with a slim budget - he does not carry a magic wand. I didn’t want Appleton but hey - the guys not stupid distancing himself from the club.

Mutual consent - Dowling would have been paid a great pay off to keep his mouth shut with a gagging order. I signed one of these before and believe me - you have to hand back every penny if you breathe a word!

Lai was ripped off by Peace when China had this beautiful idea to invest in football. Lai wants his money back and quickly believe me.
