It amazes me how clubs our size will spend upwards of 15 million on a player but baulk at paying far less for the lynchpin of the club! If I owned the baggies I would pay whatever it took, simply the wisest investment you can make is in your staff!

I said on here months ago it was worth paying Ashworth £5m a year plus a cut of transfer profits.
He along with Megson are the two most important and pivotal people in Albion’s last 40 years in my opinion.
The biggest loss to our club, bigger than any player.
