Looked incredible but that game reminded me a little if some of the championship games we had where the other team parked everything behind the ball.

Not quite sure how Spain didn’t score though some of the movement and passing to create chances was great to watch.

Only saw the 2nd half and by all accounts it wasn't as good as the 1st (from both teams).

Wasn't impressed with either team, Sweden for being so negative and defensive, Spain for having such poor finishing. Pace of the game was dreadful and I suspect the crowd noise was recorded as everyone must have been asleep by the end of play!

Would like to have seen Rodrigo on for some of the half, but no amount of fresh legs seemed to help energise matters. Next matches for both teams will be "informative".

First half Spain had a lot more energy - was supposed to be about 31 degrees C in the shade so suspect the heat and humidity took its toll.

Yes Spain couldn’t finish anything off but they unlocked the parking of the fleet of buses so well that they should have done.

What is meant by the phrase "Players in 'parallel training bubble' "? That includes Rodrigo, hence why I was assuming he was available (although as you say, wasn't a start nor a sub in the Sweden game)

They have a second squad in a separate and different bubble if they fear a COVID outbreak in the first squad

Its cruel and selfish is what the second bubble is, if there is an outbreak in their squad tough.

Bloody ridiculous to keep a bunch of players locked up just incase when they weren't picked in the first place and should be enjoying a summer break after what has been a long ****ty season around the world
