    Pre-Season Friendlies

Having the Workington and Hebburn Town fixtures on the same day seems to open up the possibility of behaving unethically in terms of the commitment made to Hebburn Town regarding Cedwyn Scott. The only totally ethical behaviour in this respect would be to have only the Hebburn Town fixture on that day and for the first team squad to be fulfilling the fixture. This is not a matter of the interpretation of the precise wording of the agreement, it is a matter of ethics.

Bit odd we haven't confirmed any home fixtures.

I imagine that the total digging up and re-seeding of the pitch indicates that the first home match played on the stadium pitch will be late in the pre-season. But of course such a fixture could nevertheless have been confirmed much earlier than now.

There is a Carlisle United v Gretna 2008 fixture on Wednesday 7th July at 7:00pm but presumably this will be a somewhat lightweight Carlisle United team in a match played on either the Brunton Park training pitch or at Creighton

It's all going suspiciously well, isn't it?

Five games. 19 goals for and none conceded.

Great for confidence, if nothing else.

Hopefully we'll take some of that confidence as well as fitness into the start of the season.
