Speaking of which, I’m glad I’m not an early-adopter when it comes to electric vehicles, I was tempted last September but eventually bought a petrol one. Fully electric vehicles are still far too expensive, the range is still not quite what I’d need and I have no idea how long the batteries are good for, and how much they’d cost to replace. I’ll look at it again in 4 years when this one needs replacing.

Seriously Chalky, the real Laffy is Andrew Lapping, a local supporter, businessman and entrepreneur who tried to invest in CUFC a few years back but who was seen off by our short-sighted Board, one of whom accused him of not having a pot to piss in. He’s just cashed out of an award-winning company that make batteries for electric vehicles such as JCBs for what he describes as a “life-changing” amount.
