    Thankyou benno

    Elliot Bennett has joined Shrewsbury.
Thankyou for everything but sadly his ability stops at league one level.

A great pro, and was a good long serving player for us. You need guys like Bennett.
It's what effect he had during the promotion season and the first season back in the Champ. He drives others on around him. He shows young lads what it takes to be a professional footballer.
Of course it was time to move him on, but we will miss his presence around the place.
Now we need new leaders to emerge.

I think Phill it's time for lenihan to really step up this season.
Last season he had a pretty average one at best.

I agree mate, he was taking a back seat at times.
While Benno faded on the pitch, what he brought was an expectancy of others and how to perform.
I feel Lenihan had a poor season overall. But that said, he played alongside 5 different partners over the season. That did have an effect, but equally he should have been more of a leader.

Possibly too young for the role or perhaps a role too far.
Would travis be better suited to it?

I always thought he came across as a born leader. And on his good days, he does defend well and talks to his other centre half. He is sometimes commanding. Other times he looks so weak and has a mistake in him. And I am unsure the others follow him into battle as it was.
Yeah, I would tend to agree, probably Travis.
If Dack was fit, I would give it to him. He lifts others around him.
