Can honestly say I haven't watched it.
I gave this a watch on Thursday, I had high hopes given Andrew Neil was involved in it and presenting.
Not since Crossroads and Blake’s Seven have I see the set move around as much and the picture quality was like on the parody news channel on The Fast Show in the 90’s when Caroline Aherne did her “scorchio” weather forecasts.
It was appalling TV, some decent presenters let down by some awful fellow presenters and truly awful production values.
I give it 3-6 months absolute tops unless they can sort the presentation out, a p I s s e d up Reginald Bosenquet on ITN in the 70’s was better than this.
A sad ending for Andrew Neil’s career as well, like George Best when he signed for Dunstable Town😩
Can honestly say I haven't watched it.
I watched it for about half an hour the other evening and, like you Mick, I wasn't impressed. I think that they are trying to lurch too much to the right and that is not what the general public want. I want to see a balanced view of the topics and I was hoping that this channel would provide that. It is early days so hopefully the criticisms that the channel is getting will be taken on board.
Seems quite a few advertisers are pulling the plug as well
It really was rubbish.
Quite surprising in this day and age that it would even be possible to produce such a poor quality show, I’m amazed it even passed through the scrutiny of the people backing it.
I’m a big fan of Andrew Neil’s presentation and interviewing technique but it highlights the fact that just because you have one skill set it doesn’t necessarily transfer to another area.
Some of the other quality presenters must be ruing having left SKY and the BBC.
Not long for this world is GB News.
I’ve been watching it at times most days since it launched, but only for short bursts in view of the issues you mention. To be fair, they have improved but distracting and too many presenters.
I will persist and hoping that when their radio offering is available it may be a better production.
