    Everything is relative.

In the last 20 minutes England needed Simon Hackney's pace and Bob Hatton's finishing.

'Tot' Winstanley and Bill Green as centre backs would also have been more sound.

How often, in the same year, have England played Scotland at Wembley and Twickenham, with England getting just the one draw?

Never mind, we can seek consolation in the splendid form of the England cricket team.

It's nay good expecting us ignorant cunts to recognise an Animal Farm paraphrased reference but it still works anyway like, eh.

Scotland are getting much praise tonight but let's be plain. Scotland raised themselves to the level at which they were able to match an England poor performance.

First half England 6/10 Scotland 7/10,second half England 5/10 Scotland 7/10.For has long as i remember Scotland have always struggled to score goals despite sometimes playing decent stuff. At home Pickford was man of the match with what he had to do,because he usually can have a glitch here and there. But come on at home as it were they looked flat, that's ok for a while but the whole match?Never seen England go backwards so often and by gum it cost them in the finish.

    1st 7 points Czechs
    2nd 4 points Scotland
    3rd 4 points England
    4th 1 point Croatia

That would be the final group table if the Czechs beat England by 2 goals and Scotland beat Croatia by 2 goals.

I’ll tell you my problem with that game, there was too much of that U23-style possession at all costs, no/low risk football with the ball played backwards more than forwards and no soul or passion. This was England v Scotland for f*ucks sake, not a tea-party at your maiden aunt’s with the bollocking vicar

That is something that a lot of fans seem to be forgetting or ignoring here.
In fairness its why we're entitled to expect much better than that from our own team, but the Scotch seem to be delighted with it from theirs.
