If we sell Raphina we (or the club at least), need to go see a really good psychiatrist. Not even remotely sensible to sell a real diamond on the chance we might not be buying a dud.

Most of the top clubs have a litany of major signings that don't work out. Barcelona are desperate to both trim the squad for space on new signings and lower their payroll. There's talk they will let Pjanic go on a free, bought for €60M in June 2020.

It was hoped by Barca for Firpo to be challenging Jordi Alba more by now, Alba was one of the clubs better performers last season.

I trust in Leeds these days to add players with good team and work ethos, on wages that won't disrupt the great togetherness evident in the squad.
Any signing will be aware of the huge physical demands expected of them.

£150k/week? Seriously? For a player who can't secure a regular Barca place and has no record at all in the PL?

Was willing to see how he performed, maybe a loan to permanent deal (and wtf if Moyes couldn't swing it), maybe the player isn't that good????

Yep he'll be on a fair chunk dosh wise but Leeds United remain on board the PL gravy train for next season - albeit they've just payed out a £35.3m players agreed bonuses bill for retaining PL status and that's where the Firpo extra will be coming from for him but he'll have to hit all his personal performance targets to get his bonus to double his wages.

The value of remaining in the Premier League is at least £100m in broadcasting windfalls as well as massive climbing commercial and merchandising top-ups last valued in July 2020 at £54.2m plus we have new money now on the Board with new 'cash-flow' Director appointments wanting to make an impact after those last posted Account losses of £62.4m which we must NOT forget.

You think Orta/ Rad /Bielsa would sanction someone untried with wages of 170k per week - thereby upsetting the rest of a proven squad? nevr going to happen - the usual bull on the tinternet methinx

I hope you are right, but the JKA debacle casts a long shadow.

Alioski confirmed leaving. Good Luck to him. A great player for Leeds especially in our drive for promotion.

Leeds brand awareness worth jumped 26% to € 117M (the third highest rise and propelling them as a new entry into the top 50. The leading brands associated with the breakaway ESL were down on average 6%, so Leeds are on the commercial march too.

Interesting to see how the differing PL Manager appointments for new 2021/22 season will have on the Leeds team squad metal in the new season & how any changes to those teams will work out - could be another great season for us.

    Brentford - Thomas Frank
    Everton - Rafael Benítez
    Palace- Patrick Vieira
    Spurs - Nuno Espírito Santo
    Watford -Xisco Muñoz
    Wolves- Bruno Lage

And now 7 London based clubs to visit to take 3 point off !

Glad to see the PL still focusing on providing job opportunities to our continental cousins, makes you wonder what future there is for any young coach from the UK.
