Good balanced post QLD. It all happened so quickly IB needed to see what he was working with. He could indeed of shook it all up and made some big changes to the lineup and formation immediately but he choose the long game. See with his own eyes what the players could and couldn't do in a system they were familiar with.

As you highlighted for a lengthy period of time he had no real time/opportunity to change anything on the training ground.

It was just game, followed by game, followed by game every 3 days with recovery and light training between. It massively restricted any impact he could have in the short term but it didn't take too long before you saw obvious improvements in the performances and as expected an upturn in results then followed.

Recruitment is indeed the great unknown with him both in terms going forward at Notts, and how involved he was in recruitment at his previous jobs abroad.

Not going overboard with IB but, whilst there are some issues he managed to make the squad into a more exciting watch with little time so we should give him a fair chance.

As an interesting but generally useless stat his results for the first 8 games in charge match Warnock's (W 2, D 2, L4). I know stats can not be used in that way as a serious argument and Warnock's results did pick up quicker after that, but Warnock also had more time between matches to work on/with the squad.

In a short space of time, IB has made us far more fun to watch. Now he needs to combine that with making us difficult to beat - which means defending a lot better, especially against an aerial threat. We won’t go up with a bad defence, that’s for sure.

Cameron leaving Torquay. Don’t know a lot about him other than what I saw in the playoffs and that he’s a left sided CB. Although he moved into midfield in the latter part of the season.

Cal Roberts liked a tweet from him?

Has also played CF this season and scored 4 goals had a xG of 5.47 and contributed 11 shot assists. His defensive stats are not quite as good as Rawlo's but his attacking contribution stats are better.

I suggested CLE on twitter a few days ago but suggested it would be hard to drag him away from resigning for Torquay. if, and it's a big if, we did manage to sign him it will be a real statement of intent by the club. CLE is best at what he does in this league and should be playing at a higher level.
