Much more encouraging against Burton - total domination with 74% possession and 22 efforts but again the inability to break down a packed defence was obvious - despite some awful refereeing and the lack of VAR which on another day would have given us a comfortable victory.
Play like that every week and the results will come, especially when the two injured signings are back in action, but it's a tall ask.

    What a game!

Temporarily up to 3rd but teams around us have a game in hand - still it's progress.
Just need to stop giving away daft goals.

Rotherham did a job on us and that naivety suggests we're finding our level in L1.

Lost by a single goal to top of the league Sunderland in a game that could have gone either way. Disappointing result but strong performance. Perhaps the difference was the injuries to our strikers which left Evatt with few options to change it around to get the goals we needed - but they'll be back next month.

Charlton game was a wake up call. They're a struggling team and to gift them an early goal was the last thing we needed, but fortunately it started to come together as the game wore on and we netted 4.

Overall it still looks like we might be close to the playoffs at the end of the season - which would be pretty good for a newly promoted team.

Bit of a reality check away at the Owls. Dominated play but lost by the only goal of the game.

Wigan and Plymouth. 'Nuff said - we look some distance off a promotion side and now the captain has left under a cloud. Mid-table?

More injuries and another loss, albeit narrow.
Not sure how morale is after recent events but with a paper thin squad we need our injured players back asap to halt the slide.

Injuries? Covid? Lack of quality? All of the above?
For whatever reason we've plummeted down the table and are now flirting with relegation.
But with a few new signings and a new system we managed to beat a resurgent Ipswich on Saturday.
Another false dawn or the beginning of another run at promotion?
    We'll see.
Personally I'd settle for survival as long as the performances improve,

    BWFC (15th in the league) 6 Sunderland (2nd) 0
Sunderland had a bad day but the new BWFC system and signings were magnificent and if they play like that for the rest of the season there may still be an outside chance of reaching the playoffs. But it really is an outside chance given the number of points we'd need to claw back.
Certainly didn't look like relegation fodder today though.

Fourth win and fourth clean sheet in a row after beating Cambridge. Team looks balanced and a bit more strength in depth plus we're playing attractive footie. Some fans think we can push on up the table to clinch a playoff place, but it's a 12 point gap. We'll see how far we get.
