"A talented winger", sounds good. I see Mumbongo has gone to Accy on loan for 12 months.

I have no idea why we think topping up the Gawthorpe Black Hole is a good idea.

Sinkov will be along in a minute, I seriously advise you strap your tin lids on chaps.

Celtic are interested, but haven't signed him, Aberdeen are interested, but haven't signed him, 'a host of clubs monitored the 20-year-old', but none signed him, we 'scouted' him, but we didn't sign him.

    Tell you anything ?

Probably not Alf. Your mate Numbongo will definitely have one.

Good luck to the lad, but he's already been sucked into Motherwell's Black Hole, what chance does he have of escaping ours ?

Nothing new here at all. It is the way that it has been for years and will continue in the same vein because these lads and their parents can see the riches which could be available to them. They jump on the bandwagon, however, very few are prepared to accept that, in the grand scale of things, the success rate is fairly low.
It is when they get dumped by the wayside that their problems start because they could continue playing at a lower level and enjoy the game as a part-timer whilst following another profession, however, so many think that this is below them. Very sad. Plus ca change.

I can't be sure of the exact numbers Supersub6, but I think there are only about 3-3,500 fully paid up, full-time professional footballers earning a living from playing the game in England.

It's not hard to see why a lot of good players fall by the wayside.
