Season tickets

Been this morning, around 40 in front of me, took around 40 mins from queuing to
getting the tickets.
I picked up 4 tickets altogether, printed out names, stand & seat numbers, plus
addresses.
A lady came down the queue asking what people wanted, just collection of season
ticket, tickets for games or shirts etc.
I gave her my list, I also had the old season tickets with me, but she said my list
was good enough.
I got my season ticket, along with mates & his grandson, but she couldn't find my
brother-in-laws, she said can he come another day & pick it up, but I explained he
works, so she went in back office looking & came out with the season ticket.
When I came out of the ticket shop, the queue was down to the edge of the stadium
near car park.
Took note the printing on the tickets is not as prominent as last seasons tickets.
* Staff at shop asking people to pay with cash, card machine knackered. *

New scanners, just swipe the card at the front, chip in card so don’t put near mobile phone

Will it not be same type of chip as in credit/debit cards ?
They seem unaffected by being kept close to mobile

Maybe they’re like the hotel cards and not has strong as bank cards?

Yes they probably are.

Which begs the question, what if your card doesn’t work?

In a hotel they reprogram the card, can they do that at NYS?

I was told the cards were made and programmed off site

It's a small chip on my card, in fact you can't see it........

They'll send you to the nearest chip shop.

Well hopefully stewards use common sense and let you in through door, then up to you to go and sort the card out later.
I’d be pissed off on first league game if you have to go and sort it there and then
