Sorry AA but have to disagree with you blaming Beckles. He had his hands full covering both sides of defence as his partner was playing as a stopper.

Have to agree that our goalie does not command or control our penalty area as he should, but would be surprised if we signed or loaned a new one as replacement for either of our existing two.

Should we be looking at the goalie coach rather than the GKs? Neither the current two nor Ben Garratt ever came for crosses.
As Steve Phillips said, they are not receiving the right encouragement in their sessions.

As for the general thread question, as the division will be more difficult and we'll be 'a known entity', I'm plumping for ending about the same place, give or take a couple of places. This is dependent on keeping what we've got, at least until January.

So days away from the big kick-off. Hope the Alex push it in the town centre. New leadership at the club needs to be more aggressive in producing a presence for the club in the town.

Things to deal with this season. Getting the ball away from the danger zone more quickly; not over-hitting crosses/corners and having someone going around the back. Finally, throw-ins, of course!

Good god you’re an optimist, gazan! I’ve only been watching the Alex for 35 years but there are some things as sure as death and taxes - we never leave someone up at corners and we are rubbish at throw ins!
