Post Euro 2021 PL - Fixture for Sunday July 11th

Euro 2021 PL - Fixture for Sunday July 11th

Please predict the scoreline (after ninety minutes) AND the official winners for the final Euro 2020 fixture:-

    (Game 51) Italy v England

    Scoring:
Three points for correct outcome after ninety minutes
Three more if also correct scoreline after ninety minutes
Three points for correctly predicting the winning team

NOTE 1: For a predicted drawn scoreline after ninety minutes, you should also state which team you expect to win.

NOTE 2: For a predicted scoreline other than a draw after ninety minutes, your winner is assumed to logically match your scoreline prediction unless otherwise advised (i.e. you could essentially hedge your bet and pick the other team to win, but you will not score the maximum nine points available).

    Good luck to all.

I went to all of England's games at Euro '96 and then had to endure Germany beating the Czechs n the final (well, I did have tickets).

I also saw England play Denmark in Japan in 2002 - but don't recall too much of the game as I was somewhat the worse for beer and spent more time doing the conga up and down the stairs than watching the game.

I know we won though, because I then got to see Ronaldinho make a monkey out of Seaman. Toothy get.

At least in principle, I could probably get a ticket for this game, but it seems wrong to take it up if I haven't been to any of the earlier games and, well, international travel is supposedly still a pain in the old proverbial at the moment.

Hope it's a good day for those who do get to go...

(Game 51) Italy 1-1 England. England to win after 90 mins.

Tough call for me but with Kuipers the Dutch referee who in total he has shown 10 yellow cards in his three fixtures as the man in the middle I fear the worst and the French staff I work with hope he doesn't ruin the flow of the game to much.

Prior to the Euros he was also in charge of Manchester City’s Champions League victory over PSG, where Angel Di Maria was shown a red card and six further players saw yellow. PSG midfielder Marco Verratti who will be in Italy’s line-up in the final accused Kuipers of swearing at him.
So Kuipers will be joined at Sunday’s final by Dutch assistants Sander van Roekel and Erwin Zeinstra, while Carlos Del Cerro Grande (Spain) will be fourth official.

Strangely the video assistant referee (VAR) role has been assigned to Bastian Dankert (Germany), and he will be accompanied by Pol van Boekel (Netherlands), Christian Gittelmann and Marco Fritz (both Germany). Juan Carlos Yuste Jiménez (Spain) completes the line-up as assistant reserve referee.
