Wolves TV are streaming all their friendly games at £5 each. Presume that you have to sign up. Easier for Alex fans outside of Crewe I suppose.

Sadly without the dulcet tones of Andy Scoffin on the PA as he finally lost his fight last night

Judging by the OS report of the game, it sounds like it was a good match. A clean sheet and most of the new signings sounding like they impressed. Did note the DD was forced off with yet another injury, after he came on as a sub on the hour. Really think we need another centre half, as it looks like he's going to have a similar season to the last one. Really unfortunate for the lad, as he seems a really genuine person, and a good player. We just can't get him out of the treatment room. Hope I'm wrong, for his sake, as well as the team's.

Enjoyed the game and felt as a team it was a good display. Have to bring up a couple of points made by Gazan. Firstly his questioning the goalie coach he really has it spot on. Before the season starts those horrendous goal kicks have to be sorted. Second it seems Kirk must have been taking his advice about getting his finger out. As per usual a superb cross for the goal, and yet another great assist. Now there is a player who does produce the end product.

Felt that too often in the 1st half our midfield played a little too deep allowing opponents easy running. However our defence managed to hold out. Impressed by all of our new signings, especially Ramsay and Long.

Our subs in the 2nd half provided more mobility and handled Wolves attacking better. First time I have seen Sass-Davies for many a month but his display confirmed my view of him, he is miles ahead of Offord. Fingers crossed DD is not laid off with another injury.

Good win and hope it continues.

for another report on the game.

Was really pleased with today's performance. Wolves played pretty football for the first 15 minutes but then the Alex got into it and created more chances in the first half. Agree with consensus that our main threat this season will be down the right side. Dale and Ramsey were really impressive. Murph was steady in midfield - will be an interesting contest for Wintle's old slot as Mc Donald is also due to play there. Mandron and Mc Donald were missing as was Lowery again. Seems, his agent is playing silly buggers and so Lowery is on the naughty step until he signs.
Yes, Kirk did cross and directly contribute to the goal and.... not much else. In the first half he should have worn a gold shirt as he spent more time running towards our goal than he did theirs! Sorry, there was something else... he participated in a half-hearted tackle (yes, really!) and came off worse and then moaned at the referee for a couple of minutes. There was a really bad tackle on Ainley in the first half and in normal (not 'friendly') match circumstances a red may have been shown. Clearly Wolves and the referee had learnt nothing from the Euros as in the first 30 minutes there was a bit of falling over for free-kicks.
It was good to watch Long - quick, direct and with fast feet. Finney made more passes to players in red than not, so there's improvement there. Unfortunately, his inclination to take an extra touch was taken to extreme when he should have scored but side-stepped about 20 times. Adebisi is clearly here to stay and Johnson also put in a decent performance playing on the left.
The best feature of the game was the way the Alex kept winning the ball back.... two players crowding and third taking the ball away - really satisfying.
Still, in the end, it was a friendly but it was great to be back!

Who was the other goalkeeper during the shooting-in before the game?
He also came out at half-time and took part in the kickabout with his gloves tucked into his shorts.

Nice to see that Gazan rates Kirk so highly. Wow he must feel that he is his number one fan. Bet Charlie even walks onto the pitch wrongly.

If Lowery`s agent is behaving so badly surely it must be with his approval. Is it not also possible that DA now rates Lundstram, Robbins, and Griffiths better options. Have to remember that it was clear that Wintle was not going to renew his contract, but he was still in the team. Alternatively Lowery may now think he is too good for our little club
