I am surprised that Aberdeen and Celtic did not ask for a lot more spectators than they did.
Aberdeen wanted and asked for 8,200 spectators whilst Celtic asked and wanted 18,000 spectators but were allocated 5.655 and 9,000 by their respective local authorities.
In my opinion Aberdeen and Celtic should have asked for 16,400 and 36,000 spectators respectively and their local authorities would probably have given 50% of what they asked for.
Everyone would have been happy. The Local Authority bosses would have thought that they had won whilst Aberdeen and Celtic would have been allocated the number of spectators they wanted.
