    You don't need 'evidence. Police in the UK can arrest if they have reasonable grounds to suspect. This can equate to 'a gut feeling' (that the person may have done it). See Prof Zander.....

    Arrest is one thing, and doesn't carry with it any obligation regarding disclosure of identity, charging with an offence is a whole different ball game.

    Not even arrested according to his wife. Who knows, more evidence (if it was needed), of the "benefits" of (anti)social media.
