    Montrose away

Very comfortable win last night, never in danger and maybe not quite as cutting as other games on a pitch with a bit of a funny bounce. 2 stonewall penalties denied, woodwork hit 3 times and a lot of last ditch defending from Montrose probably days more than the 2-0. MotM for me was Shaun Byrne who broke up anything that came his way, and some great touches and movement from Luke McCowan when he came on. Jakubiak never got going and standing about offside too often, Charlie had a quiete game too.
**** of the match went to Kerr Waddell fot a horror challenge on mcmullan with three minutes to go that put us to 10 men and should have done the same to them.

Agree with all of that, Byrne MoM with McGhee pushing for a close second. Thought Cammy Kerr played very well first half. Montrose keeper also played out of his skin and managed to pull off some strange but effective saves, their goal was charmed first half.

Strange feeling though because in the past in games like that where the ball just wouldn't go in we've been caught with the sucker punch later in the game but truth is that just never seemed likely last night.

Waddell's tackle was disgraceful, right in front of a pretty consistent and fairly poor referee too, it was a straight red all day.

Keeper had an usual approach to corners, he superman’d pretty much every one of them flinging himself through the air.

To be fair to Les Barr who picked MOM he gave it before the tackle, but correct should have walked

Jim Thomson could be seen at the player's entrance before the game with his face mask around his chin shaking his head at the Dundee fans - presumably for not having masks on or observing social distancing.

Was a very strange way to deal with corners, looked like he was just flapping at them but it worked.

Most respected and John Nelms oversized jackets are mere triffaling matters.

    Honestly.

I had my regular thurs morning e mail from Prince bakajackdaw from somewhere in sub Saharan Africa asking me to deposit 1k into a bank account so he can flee the country with a zillion groats.

Anyway as I was politely declining his request he asked me if George Cran was still taking the knee.

He knew the mighty were playing a lc cup tie at Montrose last night and he and his royal brothers were just wondering as they appreciated Mr Crans (friend of Africa) efforts last year.

Is Mr Cran on his feet or does the struggle continue?
