I’ve no idea what to think. Val has impressed me but the usual “we’ve got no money” for players just makes me think we will struggle. I really hope I’m wrong.

Who will score the goals - Baggie Bird? We have not had a decent striker since Gayle FFS

Well I’m still trying to decide whether I will subscribe to be able to watch on my laptop my heart says yes but my thoughts tell me otherwise as I see no ambition at the moment from the club and as long as that China man is the owner

I like the manager, I like his attitude to the game and I think he'd be a good hire for many clubs in our league. Problem is, he'll probably end up getting hung out to dry by our useless owners. Until that changes, nothing much will change IMHO.

Ditto. We are also in the East Stand, lower tier between the Smethwick penalty box and half way line. Anywhere near BB buddy ?

Row Q, in the lower tier and our seats are on the halfway line mate.

We went to the West Ham game and sat in the upper tier in the East Stand between the halfway line and the Smethwick and then we went to our seats after the game and just savoured the view we had missed for so long.

    Cannot wait to get back.

If Valerian can get Barnsley into the playoffs, think what he can do with our squad? I like the guy's "no passengers" attitude and I like the way he wants to press other teams and not let them play. We have a pretty decent squad for the championship and it can only get better once we get the money for MP and SJ. They also gave Valerian a 4 year deal which means they did not hire him to solve an immediate problem, which is what they have done with so many managers in the past few years with mixed success. I think the club is expecting him to build something good and has given him the time to do it. This is all very encouraging. I am way more excited with his appointment than I have been over any appointment since Megson left except perhaps Mowbray. So bring it on, I say.
