    Gallagher

Some buzz on the interwebs about signing him on loan from Chelsea. Most of what I've seen is negative. Ben White part 2.

However, I wonder if he's just a stop gap to get one of our U-23's up to speed? He's obviously a very solid experienced player and works hard. Would be able to spell our mids and we could still get in some of our U-23's. A much lower cost option that allows us to develop a U-23.

Think Gallagher would do a decent job, ***** that we get in a suitable DM / CM - Phillips has had an extended season with Euros, could be all too easy for him to pick up injury, miss parts of pre-season & early matches. We have precious little as backup at present.

Would be a good signing imo....but it seems Chelsea won't do a permanent deal and it seems [sensibly] we don't do loans unless we can tie in the option to buy....soooo.....can't see it happening unfortunately.

If this was a permanent signing I would be very happy.

It does feel like a stop gap signing if true and only a loan. Personally don't like the idea of improving another clubs players unless we get some kind of long term benefit, somehow.

Poor man's version of Grealish, with all his faults and not enough talent to compensate.

Chelsea want to defray salary costs without any notion of benefit to the unfortunate club he gets loaned to, another example of damage limitation, move on.

Have to agree here. Not really good enough compared to who we have already i.e. Dallas, Klich, Phillips, Rodrigo, Shackleton. Maybe as good as Roberts. Maybe. So its a no for me.

No thanks he looked like he'e been found out at this level for West Brom, I never saw him and thought 'wow'

We've got our own kids, we don't need stop gaps in that position we need permanent quality signing

Agree would be better to see existing players given a chance.

Seems he's chosen Palace over Leeds now anyway
